In the age of digital everything happens at a dizzying speed. However, there are sectors where the turbulence is only now beginning to be felt. I’m talking about real estate, which until recently was structured just as it was in the past decade. Today, this reality is changing and there is a growing movement that is forcing the sector to modernise and complete or catch up on its digitalization. But, is it growing so fast that technology will replace professionals?
#1 Real estate will always need professionals
Bureaucracy will always exist, and here the human will be the key to help resolve it, whether at the time of purchase, sale or the whole process between one situation and another. Even though now it is possible for registrars, notaries, lawyers and solicitors to perform several notarial acts, including deed houses online, without those involved having to be physically present, the truth is that the processes will always need humans, including real estate professionals.
In the case of selling a house to a proptech, such as Tiko, the owner has to fill out a small form on a website, accept the offer and schedule a technical inspection of the house with a real estate expert, so that the transfer of the property can be made in a formal way; in the buying process the owners need to know the property where they will invest and spend most of their life. And here, it’s up to the real estate professional to be by the side of those who are investing in buying a house, even to help in the whole bureaucratic process, including or not the request for credit. In this phase the real estate professional can make the difference and allow the future owner to use the time in another activity.
#2 Marketing also plays an important role
As for marketing, its weight will always be present, because the industry needs to sell its services and expertise in order to continue to exist. And in this equation, marketing professionals, with its techniques, can make the difference. For example, by publicising the company and the flats it has through different channels or using home staging it is possible to transform the property and add value through a quick, functional and affordable decoration.
In short, the real estate professional will always make a difference and will always have a place so that business can come to fruition.
